I called this firm at the referral of my personal injury lawyer. I’ve been dealing with SSA for 4 years now and have had little success. I was really hoping I could get some help from someone who knows the system well. Unfortunately, I called and spoke with their receptionist. She was very unhelpful. She was confused as to why I was calling if I already had a company handling my appeal. I explained to her that this was a mandated situation and the company handling it is who contracts with my LTD (long term disability company). She was standoffish and continued to express her perplexity as to why I would need Emily if I already have a team. I replied saying it didn’t seem like she was interested in helping people who are new to this process and don’t understand the intricacies of disability and wished her a good day. I’m very disappointed and caution anyone who is nervous or fearful of running into more blockades in their disability journey. This place showed me zero empathy or even curiosity into my situation.

This firm was highly recommended to me by another highly respected attorney friend of mine that I work with in healthcare. Beginning in August 2024, I filled out their website appointment – had no call back; then I called multiple times to set up multiple appointments, all of which they either no-showed, cancelled at the last minute, or endlessly rescheduled for days/weeks on end. I wrote out all the issues in detail concerning the medical issues of my wife’s case, really needing support or guidance or assistance. When I finally had an appointment (over 3 weeks after I initially filled out their website appointment request), they were dismissive, condescending, flippant – and to add insult to injury, “NEVER” even read the detailed explanation in my email attachment relating to my case when they finally kept a scheduled appointment with me! I was told they would read my materials and get back with me soon. That’s been over 2 1/2 months ago now – probably should not count on it after all this time? Horrible experience at a time when my family and I really needed legal counsel and help – during a time of life or death with my wife of 40 years – who has extremely complex health issues – and us being left in a very calloused and unsympathetic state of perpetual limbo, is neither proper nor professional. I hope others have had better experiences, by their reviews it appears some have. For me and my family though, it’s been the worse experience ever with this firm, to just be heard and answered, or treated with some kind of dignity or professional regard. I would NOT recommend this firm based upon my initial experiences with them! Shameful and frustrating!!! M.E. Rogers
